FLASH:  Just being reported from Fort Leonard Wood sources....

On-Post Housing wait goes to 18 months........Rentals in St. Robert, Waynesville, and the general Pulaski County area fall short of needs......Projected housing needs over next 10 years: 1 new built home per day!!!

As President Obama continues to try to stimulate the economy, do something about improving health care, and revitalize the car and housing industry, it becomes apparent that as we consolidate bases, posts, naval stations, and naval ports, more housing will be needed.

Here locally, as more and more troops and their families arrive, the housing shortage worsens.  Almost everything on most Realtors lists have been bought up.  The MLS shows inventory dropping dramatically.  "Even my own MLS inventory is gone and it is only my OFF MLS INVENTORY that is meeting the needs of the military here locally."

If anyone is coming into this area, On-Post housing is neglible, rentals off post are almost non-existent below $1000 per month, and so if you are coming this way, please email me your requirements as I have only a few listings left under $800 per month for sale, and only a few under $700 for rent!!!
